I WOKE UP

I woke up

in pain for my brain….. as thoughts developed created numerous signals rushing through my brain

I woke up

in pain for my body….as it was tossing and turning during night with a soul not at rest

I woke up

in pain for my loss …. of loved ones dead as their memories are carried heavily around in my head

I woke up

in pain for my future….as my present is stricken with signs that tomorrow is but a figment of my imagination

I woke up

in pain for people ….struggling harder through a pain deeper than the one I drown in as I breathe through tiny air pockets

I woke up

on an air mattress ….in an apartment I dare never to call home….in a place….Id never speak of being more than my own hell

and I sit now…..with all this running in my mind….to say

God ….THANK YOU……I woke up
